The Master of Public Health (MPH) program consists of 30 graduate-level semester credit hours, of which 27 are concentration and 3 are elective (including the option of coursework, project, or internship).
Students must choose one of three options: coursework, MS project, or Internship. The MPH program does not require a hands-on clinical component. The program may be completed entirely on campus, entirely online, or through a combination of on-campus and online courses.

The public health field focuses on the health and wellness of entire populations. The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is a professional degree for students seeking a broad, general academic foundation in public health. The MPH degree provides a comprehensive education in areas of knowledge basic to public health: biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health sciences, the US healthcare system, health, behavior and society, and public health programs: planning, implementation & evaluation. The MPH professionals serve local, state, regional, and global communities to improve health and prolong the lives of various populations. Public health professionals collaborate with clinicians, healthcare agencies, and community members to identify resources that help mitigate health issues and prevent future health problems.
The objective of the MPH program is to prepare public health students to promote and protect overall health by providing an ethical, person-centered, educational experience. The MPH program consists of 30 graduate-level semester credit hours. The MPH program, however, does not require a hands-on, clinical component. The program may be completed entirely on campus, entirely online, or through a combination of on-campus and online courses. Graduates are prepared for various work environments, such as government agencies, academia, healthcare institutions, public health interest groups, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Analyze and interpret quantitative health data using statistical tools and software to inform public health decisions.

Apply behavioral and social science frameworks to design and evaluate effective health promotion interventions.

The MPH program requires completion of the following 30 credit hours across two core areas.
Submit a completed Graduate Admissions Application with the non-refundable application fee of $50.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university in the United States or degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree (outside U.S.) i.e. Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (biology, chemistry, environmental science, and other natural or physical sciences), Social Sciences (sociology, psychology, anthropology, and other social sciences), Health-related fields (pre-med, nursing, health sciences, public health), business, humanities, and communications, or work experience in related field.
Admission requires a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 2.0.
Official transcripts are required. The prospective student must arrange to have an evaluation of your foreign transcript by one of the recognized Education evaluation companies. The cost for foreign transcript evaluation is the responsibility of the student.

A maximum of six credits of transfer credit or other approved prior learning credit may be applied toward a master’s degree program. Credit may be granted based on official transcripts, verified work experience, or professional certifications and must be approved by qualified faculty or the Admissions Department. Such credits are recorded as “Credit for Prior Learning,” carry no letter grade, and are excluded from GPA calculations.
